Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Wednesday, January 26, 2011
You can see many different types of custom flags almost everywhere you look. There are national or state flags which are highly respected and treated with special care. There are custom flags that are designed by individuals for company use. There are also those that are made to represent various sports teams. Nevertheless, we should always keep in mind that there are different ethics, rules, and flag manners that apply to each type of flag.

For national flags such as the American flag, the rule is that it should never touch the ground. It should also be raised first before all other custom flags will be raised. In addition, national flags should be raised higher than other flags. This is to show respect to your country’s national symbol. Usually custom flags are positioned on the left side of the national flag.

However, if there are other flags present that symbolize other countries, they should be raised at equal prominence or at the same level. This is a gesture showing respect to all other countries and their people. It is also to show that the countries represented by the flags are in unity.

For custom flags, no specific rules apply on how to treat the flags. Since it is customized or personalized, like if you are the one who designed it for your personal use or for other purposes, it is also you who has the right to provide the rules on how to treat your own personalized flag.
