If we only open our ears everyday as if listening to the world itself we would hear a lot of things. Issues of different individuals would be heard here and there, issues of teens, of adults and of those who are together as couples.

Actually we don't have that much time to spend. In this busy generation, we rather concentrate on our own issues and live our lives to the fullest. But why do some people even bother to secure the interest of other individuals and listen to the needs of others? Some civic organizations concentrate more on the people they serve for and at times they forget about themselves. Take for example the activists that fight for peace. They raise the flag of Iraq and say stop the war even though they are unaffected.

In some countries, they burn military flags to show they're support for peace. At times we see different flags being burned but I, for one, have never seen a U.S. Navy Seals flag being burned to a crisp, maybe it's hard to find or maybe the seals might not be involved. These people, the ones who fight for peace, should they be considered as heroes of the modern world? I think not, these people at times use violence as a means of persuading other people or the government.

Maybe, we could consider those members of some civic organizations who focus on the welfare of others. Those people are the heroes of the modern world. They are the ones who care for the welfare of others, hearing they're pleas rather than forcing them to commit to matters that cause violence. If we only open our ears and listen well to the world, maybe, just maybe, we could be heroes for a day, heroes of the modern world.

Death is as much a part of us as life is. We live our lives not worrying about death. At least most of the time we don't, however, when that time comes and our little train ride of bliss must come to an end, there is nothing we could do to but submit to the will of a higher power, or natural selection, whichever you believe in.

Each country has its own death ritual. War heroes and important figures in the United States are buried with their coffins containing, or wrapped in an American flag. Though sometimes, even common people get an honorable burial with the flag since they have served the country as good citizens more or less. Other countries, particularly in the east, prefer cremation over burial. Tradition states that cremation is the most honorable way of disposing a body. While practical reasons for cremation include the economy of burial space.

When an important figure passes away, the body is usually led to the funeral location by a hearse decorated with car flags and is usually escorted by the police. These are usually public agendas with massive amounts of press. The irony is that some people don't get that much attention before their passing. An example would be Michael Jackson, whose popularity has actually waned over the past few years since the release of his 2001 album, Invincible.

There is nothing to be afraid of in dying. In fact it would be the culminating moment in which our individual lives are framed. Who we are in the moment of our death will be immortalized in the hearts of those who have witnessed us. Tales about immortal life may be in reference to the deeds we have done as living persons passed on to generations ahead.

When we are done doing everything we could in our home towns, whether business or pleasure, then it is about time to venture to unfamiliar territory. Yes, it is time to travel. Traveling can give you great pleasure. Simply stepping on foreign soil and seeing a different world flag waving on a flagpole in the airport is enough to give a rush to many. Although it is quite fun and exciting, it is also very expensive and there are some things that we have to watch out for when we travel.

Traveling has its ups and downs. Going around the world and absorbing culture is quite fun when you think of it. However, some cultures conflict with our own. For example, what may be polite in Asia such as making a slurping sound with your soup, might be rude to people of other continents. There is also the idea of culture shock in which the traveler would experience anxiety and uneasiness when immersed in a totally new culture. Lastly there is homesickness. This rarely happens when we like the place but that doesn't mean it won't happen when we are enjoying ourselves. There are lots of things that could possibly remind us of home when we go out of the country to relax or go on business trips. It is best to weigh every aspect and expense of your trip before going out of the country because instead of relaxing, you might end up tenser than you would actually be if you have never left your home soil!

Print media has its quirks. Though a lot of people think it's a simple job of recording and presenting whatever goes on in the world. What they don't know is that it is often systemic and calculated. It may even be down to an exact science. It follows a strict workflow from getting ideas, to the actual publishing of the article, poster, newspaper, or banner.

These days, we are visually oriented. Newspapers are no longer restricted to type without images. In olden days, printing presses had a hard time printing images. These days, each story has to have an accompanying story. Press conferences are also held for the gathering of information especially for important people. If you see a table with a custom table banner as a table cloth, then most likely it is a press conference.

One quick way of presenting information is the use of billboards and street banners. These come in the form of large, concise and visually appealing signs that we usually see on roadsides, on buildings and so on. Because of their concise nature, the readers won't need to stress themselves to read details. A banner or billboard should be able to catch the attention of the audience. It should be able to provide enough information to generate interest and give details as to where to follow up on this information. The size is just as important as the design. A good design is visually appealing on its own but it all depends on how visible that good design is. In recent decades, large format billboards and banners with large fonts have gained popularity.

Most women spend a lot of time perfecting their skin, their hair and their bodies. Most likely, the same number of women also spends a lot of time filling their wardrobe with all kinds of apparel which will make them look better over-all. However, this over-all prettiness actually means nothing when you forget about these four little things that wave like a miniature flag of warning when you don't take care of them.

1. Clean fingernails. Ever wonder why New York women spend a lot on maintaining their manicures? This is the reason: the fingernails often define how neat a person you are. So take care of your fingernails. And no, they need not sport the latest nail art fashion or the wildest color. You can do with just neutral shades, a colorless coat or simply, short and clean nails. Very no-fuss, that is.

2. Neatly tweezed eyebrows. Okay, threading will do wonders too. The thing about eyebrows is that they can have the power to change your face. A little alteration on its arch, some over-tweezing or application of holding gels can spell a lot of difference. Have your eyebrows done by an esteemed expert at an esteemed salon. The initial cost may be high but with proper maintenance you will save bucks and save yourself from humiliation.

3. Clean feet. What good are pretty shoes if you don't have pretty feet? A lot of men actually find clean and pretty feet very alluring among women. So pay attention on these because they're what people will be looking at after they check out your legs.

4. Posture. Tell me you don't need attention flags just to remember this. Always carry yourself well. Don't slouch and keep your chin held high. That's the reason why models always look pristine even if they are not that pretty. They advertise a confident personality, a person so sure of one's self. Now tell me if that's not beautiful.

In early days, recreation with a gun usually means being on horseback, bringing along your rifle and having a pack of foxhounds. Nothing matches the satisfaction of bringing out the hunter in all of us. Today, the sport of hunting for game is reserved for the elite. Sometimes, it is banned because of the threat to endangered species. A good alternative to this is airsofting.

Airsofting is a relatively new sport in which you use replicas of actual firearms that shoot plastic pellets using pressurized air. Though not quite useful for hunting game, it lets you shoot the heck out of your friends in urban setting war game or skirmish. There are many ways to enjoy this new form of recreation. Aside from skirmishing, you can also play capture the flag where you try to, you guessed it, capture the opposing team's flag by either taking it back to your base or hoisting your own team's flag on a flagpole on their base.

Though shooting your friends with guns seems like a novel idea, it can't be avoided that there would be accidents in the sport. It happens quite rarely and is often caused by improper usage of the airsoft gun, poor padding and protection or simply overdoing the whole "shoot your friends" thing.

So for those who want to unleash the hunter in all of us, of for those who want to express domination by capturing miniature flags, airsofting is for you!

We all need one sometime: a nice relaxing weekend at the park, spring break for the college kids, and so on. We need a break from all the daily stress we experience from work, school, home or our own communities. Letting your stress mount over time won't make you any more productive. In fact, it may even lessen your brain power because your brain keeps firing neurons all the time. One moment you're quite energetic and creative, and later on you can't even start a simple blog post.

Vacations give our heads a time to cool. This is also a way to gather inspiration. Have nothing to write on that next paper? Why not go on a road trip with your buddies and absorb some culture. Tired of repetitively punching in data in your spreadsheets? A simple walk outside the corporate office is enough. Try looking at the various flags waving around; Even our own red, white and blue American flag. Vacations need not be big events planned for weeks on end. In fact, that little coffee break you're probably having right now as you're reading this would count as a little vacation in itself. We don't need to plan a long trip to

We all deserve a rest. We are not wired to be machines that are 100% productive 100% of the time. We all have our downtimes. And if we don't cater to ourselves, we would end up blocking our own creative paths. Don't wait for your brain to raise a black racing flag to send you to the mental pitstop.

We all hit that time when we just can't write about anything at a given time. You must be thinking, "uh oh, looks like my brain hit a black racing flag and its headed for the pitstop". That being said, our brain is like a high performance racing car. Like all racing cars it could also experience problems and setbacks along the way. No race car is exempt from a low fuel supply or worn out tires just like our brain is not exempt from things that would possibly slow down, or possibly even damage it. How do we do a "tire change" with our brain? Here are some examples to refresh our creative and logical functions.

First of all, try working at a different place. If you have a laptop, go to a place like a park or a rooftop of a building. New information always stimulates our brain to be more active. Not only does it refresh our minds, but it also gives us more ideas to possibly inspire us. Another idea is to work at intervals. If you have been working for, say, an hour, always make sure that you have a 5-10 minute break for each or that you work. This gives your mind time to refresh for another hour of working. This method buys you more time before stress seeps in and blocks your creativity and keeps you working like a well oiled machine. Lastly, keep reading! Sometimes people recycle the same thoughts and words over and over again until they exhaust the ways to use it. Read as much as you and when you see a word you don't understand, look it up and start using it.

Writer's block doesn't only affect writers. It can affect all of us whenever we do creative work like drawing, writing songs and so on. Just learn to keep your mind running like an efficient F-1 engine and you'll have no problems reaching the checkered flag.

When you look around, do you feel that you are placed in a position higher or lower than the people next to you? It's funny because there are some people who try to impose upon us that they're better or that we're less than them. This can be seen everywhere. For example, there are times when you get laughed at for listening to a certain type of music or watching a certain type of TV show. And for extremities, other people ridicule depending on the clothes that they wear or the nationality they represent. Should the American flag cover and crumple others?

Discrimination is everywhere. It's in our schools, our communities even our homes. Everyday we are subject to it whether subtle or explicit. Some people like to believe they are normal people with normal jobs and anyone who's different from them isn't. What would we tell them when they see people less than them? Should we stick around and do nothing? It has been said that for evil to succeed it is enough for good people to do nothing. It's sad that these 'good people' not only work in apathy, but many even add to the fray.

Is X greater than Y? Maybe not always but of course, X and Y are never equal. Who is greater shouldn't be an issue. If you're from another country and you see the American Flag, you think of how America seems to be better than everyone else. And if you do that to yourself, then it is not America that is at fault. Same goes for Americans looking at other countries as different. Seeing a Chinese flag and thinking of cheap underpaid laborers instead of a rich cultural heritage is no worse than thinking badly of a friend or neighbor that has been there ever since.

Our college life experiences vary like world flags and their variances. Sometimes we live the best years of our lives in college. For others, it's nothing but a mental and social cesspool of some sorts where you either sink or swim. Its either you're one of those who sit in the background doing well in their studies, or becoming popular by either making the team, or rooting for the team with those miniature college flags and pompoms.

Some people have so much fun in college that they never want to leave. They don't want to enter the jungle of adult life. They view college as some sort of Neverland where people need not grow old. It's funny because college should be the launching pad for adult life not a vortex to be stuck in for eternity. Other people hate their college lives enough to just stop and go work for minimum wage.

However high or low we feel during college, in the end it only adds to the experience of it all. There are times where we would just want to turn back the clock and relive college over again. Maybe to rectify mistakes, do more for academics and the like. For those who are still in college reading this, it's best to make most out of it. Many regret not coloring their college lives. After graduation and entering a professional life, experiences start to plateau and activities are restricted by newer obligations to your independence or your family. Sometimes it just feels right to have something to look back upon no matter how silly, stupid, boring or dark the past may be.

There is just something so fulfilling about having new things. And what's more fulfilling is when these things come in half their prices! Yes, I'm talking about the 9th world wonder: The Sale.

When we see the word "sale" draped in attention flags all over our favorite shopping mall or our well-loved exclusive boutique, our eyes mimic meteor showers. This is especially true if you actually saved up to buy something you so desire, that you feel like your life goal is to own those things. This is because a sale advertises EASY ownership, and ownership is one of man’s emotional needs. Remember how we always wanted "security" and "belongingness"? Well, these things are hooked onto plain ownership. We feel SECURE when something BELONGS to us.

Be on the look for seasonal sales and anniversary sales. This comes extremely handy for specialty stores. There are times when they just needed more closet space for a fresher collection and so they do clearance sales. Sometimes, they also hit a yearly inventory revamping so they also do clearance sales. Clearance sales are the best of them all because of the fact that the store's goal is just to empty their warehouses. Usually the best ones get sold in the beginning anyway. If you don't mind wearing what was hot last season, then this works for you.

However, don't wave your bills out like a racing flag just yet. Remember to always put a limit to your shopping. Remember "Confessions of a Shopaholic"? Shopping ruined the protagonist's love life, career, friendships and even family relationships. Money is indeed a very important resource and just buy what you need, even if it's on sale.

Going to a concert is the best way to experience music. Most of us are comfortable sitting at home with our home entertainment systems. Some are satisfied with listening to their favorite bands and artists on their mp3 players. They still achieve the point of listening to music in general much like how a backrub makes us feel better after work. However, going to concert is a whole different experience. It equates to a full body massage which is heaps better than a measly backrub.

When in concerts, you can't just stay in one place. Open air concerts have booths, camping grounds and food stations which are usually marked by twirler flags. Artists and bands usually perform one after the other so sometimes there is no time to just sit down. You might also come across hardcore fans carrying huge message flags, trying to catch the attention of the artists or the cameras. Some concerts actually have more than one stage so you might find yourself traveling from one place to another. What's more is that you could meet hundreds of people who share the same tastes or maybe the same passions with music as you do.

Think of music as a stream. You can buy bottled water instead of having to go to the stream to drink. But sometimes we learn to appreciate the water more by traveling and drinking from the stream itself. Music works the same way and going to a concert is the most fulfilling and active way to enjoy music.

Family reunions are great places to be when they are pulled off impressively. Of course, it is a big event and events that involve bringing a lot of SPECIFIC people together can cause the event manager a lot of undue stress. Sure, technology helps in keeping things on the right track but there's nothing like knowing the basics of organizing a rocking family reunion.

Plan early. Nothing beats foresight in events management. You should come up with a list of the things you need for the event and conceptualize in rich detail how exactly the event is intended to unfold. This rule comes in handy in keeping order and consistency in the planning. Then hand out the invitations and advertisements. To find lost relatives, spread street banners over the city or country!

Have a focal event. Just like the couple's first dance on a wedding reception or the blowing of candles at a posh birthday celebration, the family reunion should also have a focal event. It is advised to use things which are of interest with the family. If you're into singing, have a karaoke night. If you're a family of doctors then have a silly parlor game that doctors can appreciate. This event should be something that keeps boredom away, as that is the enemy of ANY coordinated event.

Feel the exclusivity. As what was mentioned in the earlier paragraph, SPECIFIC people are supposed to come. Make the party exclusive to ONLY RELATIVES and extract your theme from there. Have a local dish that all of you love, have a custom made family crest flag hanging by the gate, have a communal T shirt design and distribute them early so that everybody can wear them on the party.

For a lot of homosexuals, coming out is the hardest thing to do. You cannot expect every homosexual to wave their flamboyance or rashness like a twirler flag. Well, unless you are a drag queen, or a hard butch, that is. You cannot seriously be closet if you already dress and behave excessively like the opposite sex. Surely you are afraid of the scandal that it might cause, especially if you were way deep in the closet and even your closest friends don't know about your gender preference.

However, there are a lot of ways to come out properly. Surely you are afraid of the scandal that it might cause, especially if you were way deep in the closet and even your closest friends don't know about your gender preference.

First, mentally prepare yourself to practically ALL kinds of reactions. This will help you in getting over reactions which you didn't appreciate at all. Second, tell your closest friends first. And we mean it! Start telling the closest one, then the next closest one, and so on. Remember that in addition to you having to accept who you are, there is also a set of people whose acceptance matters to you. Third, have a very strong support system. Have a set of people who love you unconditionally and keep them near you.

So go out there and wave your pride flag like crazy. There's nothing that feels better than being able to show who you really are and love who you intend to love.

The kid in us was always told by her older sister that the more we spend time obsessing over physical beauty, the more we will stress ourselves out and end up losing confidence rather than supposedly gaining it from looking good. Well, nobody's blaming anyone, being beautiful has a lot of rewards. From freebies to admiring looks, from special treatment to actually ending up with a royal, beauty has acquired a high place in society.

This is the reason why everyone wants beauty as a title. More than ninety five percent of girls all over the world had once dreamed of becoming a beauty titlist. Who doesn't want their banners and state flags scattered all over the country with their fully made up faces? Who doesn't want all the cheers, the product endorsements, the title of being a "queen"? The truth is, behind all the glitz and glamor, beauty pageants destroy the idea of beauty itself.

Since they use all too much the word beauty, the word itself gains on a meaning that is full of standards and limits. Beauty pageants start with the screening process, where "beauty" is composed of a complete set of teeth, good skin, a weight that doesn't go past 140 lbs., long legs, nice hair, etc. In fact, they're not that strict in checking about eating disorders! At this stage beauty is being defined already. In the end, no matter how much the beauty queens defend pageants by saying they have the question and answer portion anyway, the time spent in filtering the non-beautiful from the beautiful just speaks of society's shallow understanding about beauty.

As days travel faster and technology running a mile a minute, people are more inclined into buying convenience rather than attending to things which they can pay people to do for them. I'm talking about special events like weddings, corporate trade fairs, Sweet 16s and golden anniversaries. The events management industry is growing faster than crop and a lot of people are also joining the industry.

People are just easily impressed with coordinated events. In fact, coordinated events are easy to spot. All the decorations are faithful towards the theme of the party and the time schedule is followed properly. However, what really stars coordinated events is the consistency of the things which catch our eye. For example, avenue banners start advertising the event from a hundred meters away. Visitors and prospective visitors of the event will feel a surge of anticipation because the idea of a well-planned gathering is advertised towards them. When they get to the venue, they find all the table runners and table drapes in similar colors and designs. As they go on through the evening, the little details like the crystals that compose the centerpiece and the flower arrangements stay pristine. See? That's the difference between coordinated and non-coordinated events.

So if you get your chance to work for this industry, the secret is consistency. You have to be assertive of your ideas and bring them to life during the affair itself. Don't forget that the event IS your major advertising break and perhaps a chance to own the industry.

Just before winter season fall arrives, the wind, the breeze is colder than before. Like the usual days, people are busy. They come and go to the stores and they cross the streets like every other day. Walking in the park, one can see brown leaves fall and dry leaves of various trees mount up making the once green ground brown. This is the season where everyone is preparing for --- Halloween. Everyone's thinking of costumes and designs that would make them the star of this season. You still think it's an ordinary day but things are not the same.

Like the time when you only see hydraulic excavators and backhoe loaders beside CAT flags, you know that it is normal since CAT is known to build vehicles. Then you notice the same flag at the department store but this time they sell shoes. You think of big machines yet you only see shoes, things become a bit odd in your eyes. Just like in autumn, everyday would look the same except that days seem dull and a few houses have fall flags already making things look vibrant yet different. Days become noticeably shorter and nights grow longer.

You think that days pass by so fast. Years seem like hours and when you look back things are never the same. People experience this stuff all the time, alarmed that things change very fast. They sometimes complain of how things change but when they see things that are nostalgic they would look to see what's in the present. It's either they're afraid of the past or they just refuse to accept change as a part of our short lived lives. Whether it's facing the future that comes soon enough or forgetting the past that should never be told. Let these parts of our lives fall like the leaves in autumn. Change comes too soon we just have to be ready to accept it.

It is quite rare nowadays to see countries at war within its society, or even with the other countries, thanks to the intervention of a greater alliance of concerned nations such as the United Nations to protect each other from oppressive intentions by other countries.

Nevertheless, there are instances wherein these turmoil occur inevitably even with the pacification of the United Nations. Even when faced with the penalties and retribution brought about by the council on the violating state, these war initiating countries found greater cause in sticking by its own intentions rather than adhere to the ideals of the higher council.

When these kinds of wars happen such as the very popularly depicted Gulf War in the Middle East, one may expect military intervention by alliance countries of the oppressed country, as well as other forms of organizational assistance. During news coverage and advisories, one may see a unique flag not carried by any nation or country.

This dark blue flag with a compass of four directions describes the NATO flag. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization, comprised mainly of Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, and United Kingdom, was established in 1948 to address the need to protect each other from other opposing countries, which during that time was potentially Russia. Germany at that time has already withdrawn from the war after its defeat in the Second World War.

The ideals and support of the NATO forces still exist until today as soldiers, tanks, and other humanitarian aid are sent to help out any other countries at war.

Though they may be a mix of different nationalities, the people under the service of this organization are united and act without affiliation to any single country, especially their own origin. What is seen with the people of NATO is a combined service of different countries stripped off their identities and brought together under the NATO flag.

Time and time again, this military aid has successfully helped out countries at war and brought about eventual peace.

In the African continent, there is a rather economically poor country ravaged by strife and civil unrest. Its citizens have been almost forgotten previously by other nations as the latter have progressed in civilization and modernization. This country has been left as a lone star amidst the global progress of others.

Flying the plain blue flag with the single white star in the middle, the flag of Somalia speaks more than just being a lone country. Ironically, it is not the only country in Africa having problems with the economy and overall civilization.

Being the cradle of civilization, as stated in many archaeological references and literature, the African continent may have been the start of what all of us are right now, but many have not been able to discern the significance of this idea, nor have they considered helping out their neighboring countries.

Perhaps the lack of international aid in the past may be excusable as the trend in nationalism was geared more to power and territoriality, hence the frequent wars and battles that ensued.

With the shift of nationalistic pride towards security and globalization, the United Nations was set up to be a platform for common national interests of participating nations. Several other subunits have sprouted from this, one of which is the WHO, UNESCO, WHF, and other organizations.

The foundation of this global group of countries united in the sense of nationalism has been a good thing for those countries not able to keep up with the ever changing progress of others. Financial as well as human resource help have been a great addition to meet the needs of the less developed countries.

It may be quite difficult to bring all other unfortunate countries at par with the current state of the most advanced countries immediately, but it is through this ideal that countries like Somalia, the lone star country in Africa to have good hope in rising from its ashes of poverty and deprivation.

He opens up a can of beer every night. He drives to you to school on the first day. You play catch with him using the old pig leather or he taught you how to drive a bike. Yes! Your hunch is right he's the one we all call dad. On every third Sunday of June we celebrate and appreciate our fathers. This is the day where we buy father's day flags from stores or order them through the internet. Showing our love and appreciation to our fathers are sometimes hard. It's hard to approach a dad sometimes. He is considered as the pillars of the household and the main disciplinarian. It's hard to get a smile from him let alone a resounding laughter but like any other he is your best knight.

Some dads never say "I love you" or say "Give me a hug" like moms. You often see them holding a can of beer on their right hand while enjoying NFL nights while holding a Jacksonville Jaguars flag on the other. More people think that there dads have no time for them. Some think that there dads can't believe that they are already grown ups. Some are being choked due to the pressures that they receive from dads. Although we only see the hard times they give us we can't deny the fact that in times that we are down they are there sharing every tear. That in every failure we get they wish you strength. That in every success we gain they are very happy to see our joy. For those who still have fathers, you are lucky and you should treasure every moment with them. Disregard the pressures for they only want the best. For those who have lost their old man wherever they are, they just want you to be strong and happy.

Summer vacation is almost near and definitely it is making heads stir and thoughts wander on what to do to maximize enjoyment during this time of the year. Every year, students anticipate its imminent arrival as it allows them to take a break from the burden of academic pressure. Parents are able to get some rest from waking up so early everyday just to prepare their kids' lunch packs. Workers and employees get to file for a day or two for a leave to spend with their families.

In every aspect of society's existence, summer vacation is the time when everyone has something planned to have fun. For those who have not noticed that the vacation has already come knocking, here are the top three things to do this summer.

Hit The Beach!

The most common and probably still the most sought after recreational activity is to hit the sandy shores of the continent and spend time with friends and families basking under the sun. For children, it becomes a haven for playing with water and building sand castles, for adolescents and adults, it becomes a haven for ogling and prospect hunting of babes and hunks.

This may be done at a new level of vacation as travel may be included to try out beaches of other countries. For example, one of the most popular beach resorts may be found in the Bahamas, that small island country flying typical black triangle with three horizontal stripes. When someone says the Bahamas, it would most probably mean beaches and more beaches to wallow in.

Forrest Trail Adventure

For those who are more of a nature lover and would want to explore the deep woods, summer camping would be an ideal choice for children and teenagers. For one, parents get to have their kids off their backs for a little while as the couple spends time with one another. Children get to spend a lot of time with friends and relatives.

Mall Ratting

Those who are on a tight budget may opt to choose to enjoy the amenities and comfort of the cool environment of the malls. Having to spend only the fares of going to and back may be the only practical expense one may incur, though it would really be pitiful not to be able to spend a little for some entertainment.

Specific plans rest up to each person's preference. Whatever it may be, make sure that summertime is justified with fun and excitement.

Flying is always and exhilarating experience. Once upon a time, the thought of flying has spurred the interest of our ancient master, constantly designing different models to emulate the flight of birds. Leonardo Da Vinci once thought of creating flying machines to take him up to the sky and touch the clouds and fly with the birds.

Several designs were made, such as the hot air balloon which became an important tool for scientist during the old times for test flights. But it was Orville and Wilbur Wright who were able to create and apply designs of the first aeroplane. Even if the machine only lasted for seconds in the air it started the revolution that enabled humans to fly at the present.

Today the Airbus A380 is considered the master of the skies. Considered as the largest commercial plane ever built, with its four strong engines I could imagine it gaping tons of air capable of changing directions of airport flags. It's supposed to cater for more passengers and give them extra comfort compared to the existing planes in the mainstream. I have never ridden on one just yet but I'm hoping to ride one in the future.

Riding on one is also a painstaking task as well I guess, since as far as I can remember only Singapore air had the chance to purchase one of those. It was reported that British Air is gonna buy 20 of them but to when it will be available is something I do not know. I hope more will be available in the future.

As of the moment, The flight simulator would be enough to fill my imaginations of riding an A380. Taxiing across the tarmac, waiting in line to use the runway and see the airport flag flutter with the wind, that sure is a wonderful sight. The best thing is that I'm the captain and I'm the one to choose where to land again.

Have you ever tried making a miniature town? Yes, it is hard to make one. One must consider the design thoroughly. The miniature town must have a landscape. You have to make it realistic and fictional at the same time. The miniature must be realistic in the sense that the miniatures are based on facts and at the same time fictional because you have to make it as your own based on your creative imagination.

Your own idea of a utopia is the best concept to start with. After the design and concept then comes the size. You have to decide how big it will be. Most people build miniature towns the size of a living room and some would just make a square meter in size.

In making miniature flags, some consider nationality. Some put blank miniature flags to start it off then the creators think of a design for the flag. After that, they create a name for an imaginary town. After the making of the imaginary flag, the structures are then built. One can put big buildings, houses and cars that have custom car flags which are almost microscopic. After making the structures, you make little people. The folks are the hard ones to make because they have to be well formed. When these things are good, the painting job is next. Paint the green fields, the hills, the cars, the people and of course the buildings. After painting,
place them on the landscape that you have made. Make scenarios and be creative. It can be a peaceful town or a busy town, it's always up to you.

Once you're done with all these things you now have a miniature town many will adore. It is hard but at the end, it is always rewarding to see you're own utopia coming to life.
