For a lot of homosexuals, coming out is the hardest thing to do. You cannot expect every homosexual to wave their flamboyance or rashness like a twirler flag. Well, unless you are a drag queen, or a hard butch, that is. You cannot seriously be closet if you already dress and behave excessively like the opposite sex. Surely you are afraid of the scandal that it might cause, especially if you were way deep in the closet and even your closest friends don't know about your gender preference.

However, there are a lot of ways to come out properly. Surely you are afraid of the scandal that it might cause, especially if you were way deep in the closet and even your closest friends don't know about your gender preference.

First, mentally prepare yourself to practically ALL kinds of reactions. This will help you in getting over reactions which you didn't appreciate at all. Second, tell your closest friends first. And we mean it! Start telling the closest one, then the next closest one, and so on. Remember that in addition to you having to accept who you are, there is also a set of people whose acceptance matters to you. Third, have a very strong support system. Have a set of people who love you unconditionally and keep them near you.

So go out there and wave your pride flag like crazy. There's nothing that feels better than being able to show who you really are and love who you intend to love.
