Long ago, people wrote letters to express their feelings and thoughts for another person. Children also wrote letters of love to their parents, praised and told them that they were the best parents in the world. These type of simple letters written by small kids meant a lot to their mothers and fathers as they were personalized and done with effort and much thought.

On the other hand, while couples today also write love letters to each other to express their love and affection to their respective partners, sending love messages online is getting more popular these days. Children now send text messages (SMS) to their parents. Lovers call and email each other to say “I love you”. However, these messages are deleted from the main inbox and they do not say much since email users are restricted in terms of creativity as one can only do what the cell phone or computer would allow him to do.
