Buying a good, quality wise flag is one thing and the accessory that goes with it is another thing. You see, most buyers only look at the flag and seeing that it meets their taste, buy it without even checking the additional stuff that goes with it. One must be meticulous in their purchase because a flag is good only when its accessory is also good, one must complement the other. The same way with a chain, it is only as good as its link, or a pilot can only be competent if he is on a very reliable plane.

To your bad luck, when you reach home and starts to install your flag you found out that it lacks proper installation hardware so it could last when mounted. This is the usual complaints that are aired by consumers, particularly when flags are to be displayed indefinitely it must be thoroughly secured to resist extra strong winds, snow, frost and erratic temperature patterns. The accessories must last longer than the flag or both can have similar life spans, not one rotting ahead of the other.

If the flag and accessory could only talk, then you will hear one say "you cannot die on me bro", which normally happens when one outlives the other. Take the case of a flag that is wall mounted, the wall bracket must be sturdy enough to hold the flag and pole and provided with at least a pair of screws or anchor bolts to hold the assembly together.

Next time to avoid a most uncalled for predicament, always get your flags and flag accessories from reputable flag manufacturers.
