Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Wednesday, December 7, 2011
Most people think that a feather flag is actually created using feathers. In reality, it is a flag that appears much like a feather once it is affixed. The flagpole will appear similar to the long shaft of a feather, while the flag will appear as the vane. At present, the feather appearance of the flag has changed much to attract more people and for promotional campaigns.

Traditional flags take on a rectangular shape, featuring the hoist at the left portion and the canton at the upper left corner. The hoist is linked to the flagpole. The sides of the flag are referred to as the fly, which are set loose to flutter in the wind. Since flags require wind to wave and fly, designs and messages are often unclear and unreadable. The larger hoist area of feather flags makes texts and designs more visible. Traditional flags have the weakness of easily tearing in strong winds, but feather flags remedy the problem by producing ripples instead of strong flutters.

Most beach promos and advertisements you find use feather flags because of its flexibility and style. Sea winds are usually strong, so only these flags can properly decorate the area with a lasting effect. The vertical style of the flags proves to be useful during games and sports, since these become beautiful spectacles along the sides. A lot of companies use the flags for their beach campaigns.

Many flag makers offer custom flutter flags along with other items. You have to carefully select the right maker that has a solid reputation and enough experience in creating feather flags.
