Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Friday, December 28, 2012

You might be wondering why a lot of people choose to use pennant streamers and put these on top of flagpoles to feature their accomplishments and feats. These are also displayed when welcoming a family member or loved one. The flags are actually one of the best visual displays to use to let others know that they are truly special. The materials also indicate a person’s belongings to another. Flag shops are usually filled with requests for family-oriented banners and company flags depending on the client’s objectives.

Many people have seen the pennants waved and flown on sea vessels and ships. They are not actually aware of the meanings of many of these banners. The pennants contain a number of messages that come in handy for different occasions. There are colored pennants that indicate where a vessel comes from, where it’s headed or if it is coming into port. The flags can feature the name of the place of origin or can also hold longer messages greeting other vessels or residents of a foreign nation.

In other instances, the pennants or buntings are also used for parties and special celebrations. These are displayed when honoring a monarch of a specific nation. In the United Kingdom, the Royal Nave will showcase flags to celebrate Nelson’s special day, since he is of the greatest explorers in the world.

Cargo ships also constantly feature pennant streamers to indicate where these are registered. Many times, the origin of the ship will not matter when making business transactions overseas.
