When choosing the right custom tent, determine how many people will be staying inside. You should have a setup that will last long against bad weather and storms.
The floor of the tent must be waterproof. There is coated nylon available to cover the floor and prevent water from seeping in. the sides will also be protected up to a height of about six inches to a foot, thereby forming a tub. You should have limited seams only to avoid leaks.
The tent must have a rain fly made of coated nylon to keep rainwater out. The fly must adequately go around the tent and onto the sides so that there is only a small space left. This will keep rainwater away from the inner portion of the tent. It also keeps people inside warm from strong gusts of wind. There are fly models that go far beyond the tent entrance so that rain is kept out and people do not get wet while entering and exiting the door.
The tent will also require enough airflow and shade. Screen windows are important to keep bugs out and provide ventilation. There should be adequate sunlight going through too.
When camping in extreme conditions, you should invest in a three-season tent which will have all the necessary features mentioned above to keep you safe from the outdoor elements. You can stay safe against snow, wind, rain and harsh sunlight. The custom tent will last for years if well-made and well-kept. Check for various products and brands before buying.
