Designing a flag for an organization had never been that easy. But do you want to know more tips? Vexillologist, Ted Kaye, who studies flags, will help you out to design your own custom flag. These tips can also be seen in his book entitled Good Flag, Bad Flag.

First off, make your flag as simple as possible. Just like a child who can still draw it from his or her memory. Simplicity can assure you that the symbol can be simply recalled especially if the symbol of the flag you had chosen is for your company or organization.

Next stop; make sure to use significant symbolism. Keep in mind that its better to use certain images and colors that would somehow relate on your company or organization's key values. Even patterns should be relative to it. This process would make your flag sets relevant to what it is representing. Just also use common sets of color and just choose to regulate the colors to at least three, just like the flags being used by countries today like the Pan African colors which include red, green and gold. Also, check out the colors of the Olympic flag, it contains the common set of colors normally being found in almost all flags.

When it comes to the design of the flag, writing is highly discouraged or even the seal of the organization. The explanation of this is that, a seal is at its close range, and the flag is made to be flown. You can actually use other things that could be tied up on your flag design; it could either be a shape or color. Writing can also call off the simplicity you want to achieve. Writing and a seal are difficult to sew and could not be easily be on reversed mode.

Whether your purpose to design a flag is different or somehow is the same with others, just make sure you achieved the uniqueness of the design. Just utilize enough components of similarity to display connections to some other flags if necessary. With these tips being followed, you can actually make a one of a kind design with your custom flag.
