Friday, October 21, 2011
Have you seen a feather flag?  For those who haven't yet, nope, it is not made of feathers? It happens when the flag is mounted on the ground, it looks like a feather. The is the shaft of a feather and the feather flag as the vane. Seemingly, the design of a feather for the flags has been popular to achieve much better display and advertising.

Traditional flags are more on rectangular shape in nature with its canton placed on the upper left corner and the hoist found on the left side are affixed to the pole. Sides of the flag are left free to flare-up. As flags are meant to be flown, it is not recommended to display texts or make designs that are unreadable. The feather flag has a larger area of hoist because it is affixed vertically to the pole, and would allow the display to be seen and read on easily. Moreover, traditional flags are more prone to wear and tear condition with strong winds while on the other hand, feather flags can reduce frantic flare up to mere bubbling.

Due to the flag design’s flexibility, it has become the top choice in advertising on beaches, where the gust of wind from the sea barely bothers the flag and even the decorations. And, its vertical sides can be carried well on sporting events. When it is displayed on the sides or being held up by the supporters in a crowd, it undoubtedly creates an impression that it is indeed an attractive tool to attract people.

A lot of flag manufacturers offer many feather flag designs on their online stores, but make sure to choose the manufacturer that has proven reliability and experience in production of feather flag.
