Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Thursday, October 27, 2011
It’s a given fact that street banners are being used by companies for their promotional ads. In several areas of the world, the response of the government and other civic organizations differ from one another when we talk about advertising, because of course, cities have different set of rules or laws. It is said that more cities provide set of rules with regards to the use of street banners as a form of advertising. These cities will give limitations and restrictions to advertisers in their street banners sizes', location and duration of display.

The city government earns from these advertisers through permits. But some cities will not give an authorization for companies to advertise their products like in San Francisco. On the other hand, Los Angeles will let a company post street banners as long as the banner's space will not be over 20 % of the ad space.

There are also cities which strongly prohibit street banners such as Moscow. Its city’s government will fine  the advertiser who continues to place banners on streets. The implementation of this law shall be active by August, which according to business analysts means loss of jobs and revenue.

It can’t be denied that the use of banners on streets to promote a company’s business is a very good marketing strategy, most especially if the banners are placed on streets that have heavy traffic. It means more motorists can have a good view of the promotional ads. However, those cities which prohibit street banners should reconsider in reviewing the law that bans it.
