Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Wednesday, January 4, 2012
A custom flag or custom banner generally functions to identify individuals and represent a certain principle, place, company or group. It is a way of showing pride on things you believe in.

A dye-sublimation method is used on flags and banners that are printed digitally. Heat will blend the substrate to the ink, leading to very rich and vibrant images that almost penetrate fully to the other side of the fabric. UV-resistant inks are also used to make digital flags so these generally last longer compared to traditional flags.

Personalized flags and banners have been a constant presence in many places and events. Even though the origin of the flag is not fully known, it is said that the first ones were presented in Rome and China. Before, flags were mainly used to identify leaders in armies like knights and samurai warriors.

When Christopher Columbus was exploring the New World, ships were used to bring flags to display the country where they came from. Later on, displaying flags on ships became a common practice. These were the flags that are used as nautical flags or world flags in the present. Several groups and institutions also display flags in various events and activities. Also, custom flags and banners are often shown on state and national events. Small and large industries even use custom banners depending on their business objectives.

According to one dictionary, a flag is described as a piece of fabric used as an identifier to a ruler, leader or military head in times of war.
