Even though it has been several decades since the American Revolution, you would still find several military flags in museums, galleries and other places. Individuals from all over the country will still feature these special flags in memory of the special events.

The Bennington flag is one of the flags with such as a rich history. You will discover how the flag is a beautiful version of the United States flag. It was first seen during the Battle of Bennington during the American Revolution which is why it was referred to as the Bennington flag.

The Bennington flag is not the same as the Revolution flag which featured thirteen stars and thirteen stripes. The thirteen stars and stripes represented the first colonies of America that fought against the monarchy of Great Britain.

The special flag of Bennington is characterized by a huge number 76 in the canton. The 76 stood for 1776 which was the year when the declaration of independence was signed by the forefathers in Philadelphia. There is also another noticeable element on the Bennington flag such as the thirteen stripes. These are arranged in a special manner. The present U.S. flag showcases a red strip at the outermost part of the banner, while the Bennington flag has a white stripe.

The stars on the current U.S. flag have five points while the Bennington version has seven.

The Bennington flag is one of the famous styles of the American flag. There are several places and sellers around the United States that offer the historic flag. It is great to display on top of flag poles.
