Some people might seem neutral about it but I always take pride and joy in being an American. If you happen to pass by our home on Flag Day and other special national holidays, you will see different displays that show my patriotism. Our vehicles have tiny
custom flag stickers that talk much about our support for the United States. The glass on our front door also features stickers that display the U.S. flag in various types. These were particularly placed by our kids after the September 11 attacks.
Custom flags symbolize a lot of things
Every year on July 4th, the entire country remembers how it was freed and transformed into the greatest nation in the world. The hard-fought battles and principles presented by our forefathers should be remembered by placing custom flags and the Old Glory in different places. As people of the United States of America, it is only right that we spread our love for our country by putting flags everywhere during the special occasion. Simple displays will suffice since these easily show that you are passionate about America. I find it heartwarming how some people take time to reminisce their history. I am never embarrassed about having to display the national banner especially after Americans needed each other during 9/11. During those troubled times, you can see
US flags placed on several homes, vehicles and venues. People would get creative by positioning the flags on their car windows, applying bumper stickers and sharing quotes about independence and unity.
The last time that patriotism was clearly shown was in World War 2.
