Once you’re familiar with how custom flags and banners are manufactured, you will require a systematic approach on the best way to keep these materials. You will save time and boost efficiency by preparing the available space. The space you have might not be big enough to accommodate a sewing room. However, you can start learning a few things about organizing the sewing room for many future benefits.

Many experts suggest that you use an closet that is empty where you can properly arrange the supplies and fabrics.

Find one cardboard barrel then use it to stock yardsticks, drapery rods and dowel rods. One matt board will also be held upright next to the barrel.

A double drawer file cabinet can be used to keep banner patterns. These are usually put inside zip-type bags. You can stick a picture on the baggie to easily determine what’s contained inside.

Use at least a couple of little storage trays of different sizes that have several drawers. These are where you will put other small materials like pins, needles, tape measures and hooks. The bigger tray can house quick bias, rotary cutters, paper scissors, etc.. The carpenter’s box or  the fisherman tackle box is also a good item to use. Place finish nails at the rear wall where you can hang squares, rulers and templates.

Find a small stool to determine the look of the custom flags and banners from a distance.
