Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Tuesday, November 26, 2013
The American flag is one of the most prominent icons of nationalism and justice. Even if it may just be a rectangular cloth, the patterns on it embody the pride and joy of a nation geared towards progress and equality.
Brandished and displayed publicly, it exudes the aura of a defender of freedom. When not in use, it is just proper to have the American flagfolded up with honor, and stored along with high regard. While there are no specific ways to fold it, the military has made a custom method of folding it. Here is how it goes:
1.       Find a partner and start off by holding the flag horizontally parallel to the ground and about waist high.

2.       Fold the American flag lengthwise, this time using the field of stars as reference point. Fold it by having each corner meet each other and having the field of stars underneath the fold.

3.       Folding it once more, fold lengthwise and let the blue field face outwards this time.

4.       By this time you would be having a long folded flag a quarter of its original width. Start by making a perpendicular fold, making a small rectangular flap, and folding diagonally starting from left and heading towards the right.

5.       With the outer side, fold it again on the opposite side to form the second triangle.

6.       Repeat the process of folding it diagonally, then perpendicularly until the whole flag has been folded up to the other side. On average, expect to be able to have about 12 to 13 triangular folds.

7.       Check your progress to see if you have folded it up correctly. It would be correctly done if the outermost side exposed would be the stars.
After folding the American flag up properly, gently place it inside the flag case for proper storage.
