From its root word “organization”, an organizational flag is generally created to represent a body or group of people with similar beliefs and principles. Many firms and associations around the world use an organizational flag. The flag may include symbols and words that show what the group believes in and stands for. The banners are raised during meetings and special occasions with members saluting it or giving it the reverence it deserves.
There are a number of things to remember on how to make the best organizational flag.
Keep it simple. Come up with a design that includes the vital elements and colors. These will easily be recalled by others, including those who are not members of the group. You should be able to draw it by hand.
The right symbols. Use symbols that represent the company or stand for the main principles of the body. You will appreciate your key virtues better this way.
Limit colors. Limited colors make the flag easier to see and stand out from others. Some experts believe that two to three background colors at most is ideal.
Limit letters. You should only limit the words on the flag to a few, such as the motto of the group. Let the symbols indicate the meaning and background of your organization.
Be creative. Look at other organizational flags and see what elements make these attractive. Incorporate some items that you like best in your own banner. Learn how to display the flag properly so that others will also regard it with respect.
