Thursday, June 5, 2014
The Alamo flag has a very rich and memorable background. Similar to other flags used in war, the Alamo flag is also full of controversies and bloody stories. The battle flag was made by replacing the Eagle with the year 1824, found in the middle of the Mexican banner which has three colors. The Texans used to be at war with the Mexicans at the time.
The banner of Mexico features three main colors divided evenly across the flag. The green tone is located at the right portion, the red is found at the left portion and the white is in between the two other colors. The national coat of arms of the country is also featured in the middle. Each color represents a particular story or principle, although people have changed the meanings of the symbolic colors through the years.
The colors white, green and red were presented by Mexico after it was freed from Spanish rule. The current flag you find at present was first flown during the 1960s, particularly in 1968. Since its early beginnings in 1821, the main design is still the same one you see today.
The Italian flag is almost the same as the Mexican flag, except that the former has no coat of arms in the middle. The Italian flag primarily features the three main colors without any other symbol or word.

The Texan legislature approved the Alamo flag as its first battle banner to be used by militants against Mexico. In 1835, the Alamo flag was approved for use for Mexican industry.
