The Union Jack flag is the official moniker or nickname of the United Kingdom flag. I know a lot of you would first wonder how the name got to be as it is with the design that was associated with it. While the Stars and Stripes is easily related to the literal visage of the American flag, the asterisk like motif interlocking at the center of the map signifies the unity and solidarity of the three countries under one monarch. These are the Kingdom of England and Wales, the scenic country of Scotland, and feisty Ireland.

In celebrating global events, national flags are flown to give honor and recognition to the country where the bearer resides. It is no different when it comes to the Union Jack. Anyone from the three said countries is more than entitled to bear and wave the flag of the union. Any similar emblem which has a striking resemblance with the UK’s is considered to be supporting the nations encompassed by it.

In any form of support for social and sporting mega events such as the World Cup, the showcase of nationalistic inspired emblems may be applied to any imaginative output. As tattoos, patches on bags, prints on clothes, and even actually carrying and bringing the Union Jack flag in the sporting arena is already a full patriotic testament with the flag’s cause.

You may go full union by having everything you own or wear to the World Cup be in a similar pattern as with the Union Jack. Yeah it may be a bit flashy and intimidating, but definitely show your full and heartfelt support.
