One of the oldest ways of good marketing or in the form of advertising is through outdoor advertising. Merchants in the early civilization time placed signages outside their stores, usually at the front or top of the door entrance in order for passers-by to notice.
From a wooden signage to posters, billboards, to neon lit outdoor signage. Styles of outdoor signage have evolved over time. Thus, advertisement has undergone many changes through different ways to make it more effective and competitive and outdoor signage is always part of the evolution.
The traditional means of advertising like paper posters and billboards are still being used up to today but another one is getting more popular.  That is the outdoor digital signage.  With the use of modern technology, digital outdoor signage can be customized better because the content can be changed remotely. This way advertisers can reduce cost by consistently changing the ad. One screen can show multiple ads. Each ad can be shown few seconds before changing to another ad. Ads that are programed can be rotated and repeated many times in a day. This maximizes the value of a single ad location.
Another advantage of digital advertisement is the ability to make it more noticeable. Ads shown is more exciting to look at because the images are moving and contains sound effect. When at night, it can be more appealing because of the lights.

No wonder digital outdoor signage takes a huge part in the advertising industry these days. And it is expected to grow more through time.
