Exodus 17:15 spoke about Moses building an altar then putting on it the line, “The LORD Is My Banner”. Banner actually refers to a thing being raised or lifted up, a signal pole, ensign, standard, sign or sail. The meaning is almost the same as flags, ribbons and other signs. Some people raise flags and banners when they are praising and giving thanks to God. Many people need to be encouraged to show their love and adoration for the Lord. When I share my passion and joy in singing praises and raising God’s banner, other people will follow suit.
I realized how singing and dancing can help strengthen one’s faith in God. It is a time to let go of old beliefs and to focus on our renewed faith in God. We can show how much we love and praise Him by raising his banner on top of various places like churches, offices, government buildings and our own homes. People can also come before God to show that they are sorry for their sins and ask for forgiveness by doing acts of kindness and eliminating their evil ways. The whole body should be used in worship. You can come up with more creative materials to show your belief and faith for others to follow. You will see how a number of churches feature different colored flags to show how nations should unite under the same God. There should be no more war and instead, there should be songs and dances as a community to share in the joy of being one.
