Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Monday, November 30, 2015
There are two basic approaches in hanging faith flags and banners. First, when hanging on walls, use a dowel with finials and a rope with tassels. Second, if you are using an independent pole on a base, you can make use of vertical and horizontal dowels with finials. You may also require a center PVC with a T-joint and a heavy base.

When wall hanging, the tassels and ropes will provide an attractive look to the complete banner. You can also use twisted satin rope, upholstery ropes or metallic types. These can be found at your local drapery or fabric shop. Before you cut the rope, have a small tape wrapped around the rope so you know exactly where to cut.

Go to the middle of the taped portion and leave the tape on both ends. This will keep the ends for getting loose later on. Also apply decorative pieces and ropes to hang or put these over the peak of the faith flag for added appeal.

Next, get a wooden dowel and then cut it to the desired length. It should fit the flag and move about two inches more over the sides. Make adjustments accordingly. You will also need a wooden rod for a small dowel. Metal rods and PVC tubes will also be useful. You can add more length to the dowel so that the drapes go over both ends. The dowel diameter will also be based on the dimensions of the top casing. These will all look beautiful once complete.
