We always find ourselves in a dilemma, a very difficult situation wherein we are expected to make a choice between two or more opportunities, one that will be joy or it could be heartbreak not only on us but also to the lives of people dear to us. Take for instance a single mother who is given a chance to work abroad; she has to decide on whether to pursue and leave her son or to refuse the offer so she can take care of her son and see him grow. For practical reasons, it is best if she goes abroad because it would probably bring her and her son a good life. But considering her emotional attachment and parental instincts for her son, it would be very difficult for her to leave. In situations like this, people look for solutions; some asks other people's opinions; others weigh in the pros and cons; and quite a few visit houses of worship and ask for God's guidance.
Upon entering a house of worship, we find ourselves engulfed by the solemnity of the area and we are drawn to sit down or kneel. We spend long hours inside the place - in solitude, praying, asking for help and even sometimes we just sit quietly waiting for the answer to come. During those hours spent, we see praise banners that are hanging on the wall supported by
praise banner poles . We read the biblical quotes on these banners and then we are enshrined with new energy, hope and then we are relieved. It feels likely that God has answered our problem and we happily step out of the place because we now have the renewed strength to do what is right.
