I usually found it difficult to determine whether or not white is a color. Whenever I have a client who wishes to have a
custom flag made containing a logo, I still get surprised that they include white as one of the colors, together with blue, yellow, red, etc. I have been a custom flag manufacturer for a long time and I discovered that there are still a number of flag makers on the internet who do not offer good quality or might even charge you extra for work or materials that are non-existent.
Whenever a custom flag maker charges you for 4 colors, you should think again. The custom flag might truly only come in 3 colors since white should not be included in the fees. At the very least, we do not use it. When screen printing is done on the material of the banner, white is never used. We only use other colors because the film used for screen printing will already render the color white naturally.
Whenever you have a flag made by a
custom flag maker, be sure that you do not pay for the color white or that they don’t charge you for it. A lot of flags are actually screen printed on white material so these will naturally get the white tone depending on the design without the need for the actual color or dye. One of the best things to cut costs when having flags made is looking for a good quality source that offers quality designs.
