Businessmen would surely want a good and sound investment. May it be in their product or in the manner of advertising and promotion, a good business is the one that has maximum utility on capital investment. In this regard, outdoor businesses and activities find much utility with the use of custom canopies. Exhibits and bazaars are some of the most commonly found events for these shelters, and for good reason. These shelters are portable and durable, perfect for short duration shows lasting several days.
Now, in getting your first custom canopy setup off the mall or outdoor store, and even perhaps when ordering online, it is important to know what you are buying and seeing if you are getting your money’s worth in terms of durability and quality grade.
There are two things to check as a start - the canopy top and the frame. The canopy top is the tent fabric which is situated on top of the structure, and sometimes extending to the sides to provide a makeshift walling or partition form the outside. Usually made of polyester or similarly weather resistant fabric, it should be durable and thick enough to be fully useful. By convention, it should be rated with 500 denier or more, and the side extensions may already be good enough at 300 denier rating. You may choose to have a higher denier rating for both but expect that it will be a bit more costly.
The frame is usually made of aluminum or steel, with the thickness of the pipes in check. Smaller and personal custom canopy types may already be good with 29mm thick pipe frames, while bigger ones especially those found in big exhibits catering to very many people may be better with 32mm or even thicker pipes. This is to ensure a sturdier and stronger foundation for the clients and the products.
