Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Wednesday, December 11, 2013
Mounting custom flags and banners differ in method depending on the size, situation or location. For your information, here are some of the basic setups used:
Malls, ballrooms, gymnasiums, and other high ceiling establishments with a definite ceiling usually use the hung method. The ceilings make a good base for these flags since the ramparts, trellis, or rafters provide a sturdy and stable base for the weight of the flag to be hung from. In this setup, larger and longer flags may be used which would surely catch the attention of those within the establishment. In addition, the flags hung in this manner have the opposite bottom side sewn or fixed with weights to provide form and stability for the custom flag itself.
Flagpoles are probably the more visibly seen type of custom flag mounting. Government offices, schools and universities, as well as patriotic households have flagpoles as mounts. And why not? These poles are tall, eye catching, and provide easy mounting of different flags quickly and efficiently. Thanks to a simple device called the pulley, placed on top of the pole, custom flags are able to be mounted with one of its sides serving as a parallel base for the rope to be attached to.

Street mounts are used more with long banners. Social and public events and announcements are usually mounted in this manner. Custom flags are hung in mid-air and with high clearance enough for appropriate space for those passing below. Each of the four corners is attached with a rope to a sturdy post or fixture across the road it is hoisted above. Some setups leave the bottom corners tied with weights instead.
