There are different means of displaying your custom flags. Here is some information on what types are usually available. Check these out and find what you may have not tried yet.
Pole mounting is one of the most common means of displaying your custom flags. Hoisting them up along the pole to the top of it is what we see such as those in country flags in government offices. In this setup, on side of the flag is used as the base, wherein eye lets are placed either at the corners for smaller types, and all along the base side for larger and heavier ones. For corner placement of rings, a bungee cord and pulley system is used wherein the flag is allowed to be raised and lowered with ease. This setup also allows better adaptation to stronger winds. However, corner attachment types may put too much strain on the two corners that it may damage the fabric.
Another type of mounting is by using a t-mount which would hold the flag. The upper side would hold as the base for one of the sides of the flag, and the vertical frame of the T-mount would act as a supportive “spine” for the rest of the flag. This setup is suitable for low clearance areas such as lawns, commercial areas, and rooms. Simple screws and pins may be used to fasten the flag along the edge onto the horizontal frame.

Fences also provide a substantial surface for custom flag mounting. However, due to the uneven and rather random pattern of fences depending on design, custom flags which are mounted here are usually smaller and lighter since ropes or simple wire is used to hold the corners onto the surface.
