Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Monday, March 23, 2015
You will notice that there are several national flags around the world that only feature three colors and no other emblem or image. The flag of Mexico features the three colors green, white and red but includes a special coat of arms in the middle. The bands are placed in vertical fashion while the catchy image is located on the white band. The Mexican flag actually has the same colors as the flag of Italy, which has no other image on it.
If you look at the two tri-color flags, the flag of Mexico is different because it has a darker green tone and red tone compared to the red and green on the Italian flag. Also, the Mexican flag is more rectangular because it features a 4:7 aspect ratio. The emblem on the Mexican flag also makes it very unique compared to the Italian banner.
The flag of Mexico was not inspired by the Italian flag as many people might believe. The tricolor bands of Mexico has actually been displayed long before the Italians adopted their tricolor banner. The flag in Mexico was adopted in 1968 but the flag has already been raised frequently since 1821. It was their first unofficial national flag.

The colors on the banner of Mexico was taken from the tones of the national liberation army of the country, when it was freed from the clutches of Spanish rule. The coat of arms of Mexico also features a great eagle holding a snake in its talon while on top of a cactus. The same image was taken from the animal that the Aztecs first saw when they came to Mexico City.
