Many people are familiar with the issue about the proposed Islamic mosque to be constructed close to the ground zero venue in New York City.
Some politicians would ask Americans to be more considerate, while others would require people to be conservative. The Liberal wing of the American government is actually defending the construction of the Islamic mosque. According to them, American Muslims have the same rights to build their church on American soil as well as showcase their faith flags anytime.
I agree to some extent. However, they should also be more considerate in picking the exact location of the mosque. It is a well-known fact that people still see ground zero as a sad place, because of its history and the terror that once plagued the city.
The issue is about Islam and other religions being vehemently protected by a number of American politicians. It is actually shocking how they fail to defend Christianity in the same manner at times.
There is also another issue shown by the media at present regarding a public Veterans War Memorial in King, North Carolina. The big wrong is that people have been raising a Christian Flag on top of the memorial.
Now, people should be more aware that there should be a line between the Church and State. Liberals say it all the time but exercise rarely. The American Civil Liberties Union has a different stand. According to them, the civil liberties of American are taken away by such practices. Politicians should be more sensitive about these in the future.
