Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Tuesday, June 16, 2015
Advertising is an industry that keeps on getting bigger. Daily. You now have companies cropping to have a bite of the chunk of the advertising bandwagon.  It has evolved through the centuries, from the lowly barking of brands off the sidewalks by street hawkers to the more edgy presentation of today. The industry has now come up with the latest power of delivering enticements to the insatiable consumer, the custom street banners. Bigger, Bolder and Forever. Well, somewhat.

If you want to deliver a message that can be seen by a lot of people, young and old, 24 hours a day, then street banners are the answer to your advertising needs. However, just like any other form of advertisements, street banners are also bounded by laws and regulations. Particularly rules and regulations of the area where you want to place your banner. City legislations for example, may impose limitations to the dimensions of the street banner and limit the placement of large ones on structurally sound  areas only.  There are also rules regarding the duration as to how long a particular street banner will be on display.  As an example. You have Los Angeles, allowing banners for display as another means of getting revenues but the limit sets on not more than 20% of the space of the banner.

The use of street banners is often welcome in most cities or locales as they can be sources of revenues for any local government. Revenues are generated whenever fees for permits are paid by the companies who want to advertise. However, you have one city viewing these banners as a headache. That city is Moscow. The local government of Moscow has now decided to block street banners and has already put it into legislation. The city has already set on a budget to reimburse advertisers who have incurred expenses for street banners. These street banners have become liabilities as they are said to cause heavy traffic. Since they are influential, another area the city sees it as a liability is that street banners are opportunities for more probabilities for market deception.

Street banners as advertising tools can be that powerful. It can pose a problem, but the most important thing to remember when it comes to street banners is responsibility. Manufacturers, advertisers must be responsible in the manner of disposal of these banners once their utility has run their course. They must also be collective in assuming accountability in the message that they send out and make street banners a medium for tact and fair advertisement.
