Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Wednesday, November 9, 2011
We had already witnessed band majorettes and cheerleaders performing their own style in twirling and spinning during parades and even rallies. Indeed, this is another type of sport known as pep flag with those dancers using the twirler flags whenever they perform. These flags have been on ceaseless popularity since then particularly in the pop culture. You can even see it at Hollaback Girl’s video by Gwen Stefani.

On flag routines, you can see one to two flags being featured with synchronized moves of the participants. There are a lot of competitions which are indeed in its ceaseless popularity; it includes both Regionals and National Events of the United Spirit Association and even on Miss Dance Drill/Team USA.

Some areas in the Southern Part of California had been into these Twirler flags. Most schools in actively participate and even compete in these events. Carson High School has been known as the three time title holder in almost all USA competitions. The same team was being featured at the Hollaback Girl music video.

On the other hand, cheerleading has a lot of routines that draws excitement to all of us, it covers kicklines and pyramids. Twirler flags have also been contributing to the excitement of the crowd with some twirls, tricks, flag exchanges and tosses. Keep in mind that flag dancing and cheerleading are not the same. They have various routines.

These flags are more on the personalized side which made for the purpose of fitting the requirements of competitions, with the emphasis on grace, and  twirler flags designs and colors. Cheerleading, on the other hand, pays little or no focus on the costume or props used but rather on the routines
