Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Tuesday, March 6, 2012
From ancient times, custom flags and banners have been a common sight to distinguish different groups. These were frequently brought into battle to make soldiers feel more confident as well as for identifying the different components of the army. At present, these continue to serve the function of identifying groups even in times of peace. Regardless of the era and period, flags never lose its versatility and importance.

Countries today feature flags as a symbol of the virtues they stand for and the land they love. Centuries ago, military groups used flags with symbols like animals to distinguish ally from foe. Ancient historical tribes did not have the convenience of cloth and had to rely on heavy items like totems to represent their groups. The first appearances of flags were always on the battlefield.

Modern times have also added more uses for flags. Today, businesses and corporations use flags as a form of representation and decoration. These are evident during summits, exhibits, trade shows and meetings. It is common to find one or more flags set up on stages. In most cases, the national flag is placed on one side of the stage while the company flag is displayed at the other end. Sports and athletic activities also feature a variety of flags.

The official colors on uniforms of players instantly identify them from the enemy. The flags and banners serve the function of introducing the team. Fans usually follow suit and use either street banners or pennants to show their support for their beloved player or team.
