Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Friday, November 2, 2012

Screen printing is one of the cheapest ways of making copies of textile images for banners, advertising materials and custom flags regardless of the occasion, place, event and situation. Several agencies, organizations and groups use these for various reasons and for international and local happenings.

Nylon is the most usual material used for screen printing although flag makers also like to use other fabrics like canvas, wool, cotton and silk.

Some people are asking if custom flags are better off using screen printing techniques or digital printing methods. The printing approach will rely much on the project and objectives.

If you’re going to screen by hand using a flat bed top, the process will involve the use of steam from inside the flat bed. The temperature should stay high so that screening will let the dye dry fast. Other colors can also be screened accordingly.

Using a machine for printing will automate and hasten the process so you can make more materials and flags in a shorter span of time. The colors are printed in just 10 to 20 seconds and the oven will dry the colors.

You have to be familiar with the three types of machines used in the process:

High temperature machines will apply the color.

A washing machine will remove the dirty dye found on the surface of the material so that what you get are only the clean tones.

Finally, the fixture machine will lead to a square fabric since the washing machine tends to adjust the form of the material.

All of these are important to create a beautiful custom flag.
