Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Monday, September 2, 2013
First of all, you have to determine how the design will look like on both sides of the custom flag. Inkjet-printed or screen-printed flags will cause the ink to go through the material of the banner. You will see the exact layout on the other side of the flag as it appears on the initial surface.
When you say single or double-faced, you are referring to how the flag appears when seen from either side. The goal is to have identical layouts on both.
Double-faced flags are actually composed of two flags sewn together with the same layout on either side. Although it gives you the result of having identical designs on both sides, the flag also tends to be very heavy and may not fly well in light breezes. The price of the flag also increases because of this.
Many experts would recommend getting a single-sided flag. When you create the art, also check if the layout will appear the same or attractive regardless of which side you’re looking from.
Some single-sided banners will read backwards when you view these from the opposite end. You can fix the matter by taking out the text fully or using only a few.
Rules on Color

When it comes to color, some people experience problems during the printing process. Custom flags will require PMS colors. This means Pantone Matching System which is an effective way of using compatible tones to come up with a truly attractive design. Artists and professional designers will usually talk about colors and refer to PMS. Match tones accordingly for the best flag results.
