Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Friday, January 3, 2014
Many patriots and proud citizens of the US would want to show how much
they pledge their allegiance to the sovereign to which the American
flag embodies that they make it public; that is, they display their
flags outdoors and wherever they may go. In this case, it would be
right to follow some practiced guidelines in public display of
nationalistic affection.

At home where it all starts, flags are displayed on the fence, on the
porch, and even outside windows. In this manner, it would be best to
hang the American flag vertically rather than horizontally as it
allows better feel and “flow” to the sight of it just placed under the
window sill.

Those who drive get to bring their flags with them to places. When
placing the national flag on motor vehicles, it is important to
remember that it should still follow the same thought that the flag
should not touch the ground, or even get stuck on car parts such as
between a hood and the chassis. A good placement would have to be the
front antenna, or perhaps a similar small post attached to the front
right fender, keeping the flag in a substantial height above the
ground and clear from obstacles.

There are instance where the flag is hung over roadways. There is an
unwritten norm that if the pathway traverses north to south, the star
panel should be facing the east. In  case the road is an east to west
kind of road, the stars should be facing north.

Finally, American flags which are hoisted on masts beside other flags
should have its pole and location higher than the rest. This follows
to other similar arrangement, except when the other flags are of other
countries. In this case, every nations’ flags should be of equal
height. It is also important to take note that the American flag
should be the first to be raised, and the last to be brought down.
