Pennant streamers are supposed to last a long time. Made out of synthetic material, these streamers are ideal for longer exposure to outside weather conditions. Their relatively lightweight design and ease of installation features – as opposed to huge billboards and signage makes them easier to be put down or attached back again when the weather decides to have a quick change in its normal and expected routine. In any case, it is highly recommended to be wary of the things that could easily damage your things. Here are some things to remember.
During windy season, it is expected that the vinyl or any other similar material should be able to just shrug off the effects of the weather. However, flukes such as days with heavy gusts of wind – some up to 75 miles per hour may cause damage not only to pennant streamers but to any other material as well. While it is true that the resiliency of such material is good for external conditions, there is only a limit to what the material may accommodate before giving in to the pressure. As a good measure over years of manufacture and design of these streamers, wind flaps are created to add to the safety and longevity precaution of such things.
Another factor one should take note of is the installation of the pennant streamers. More often than not, the damage is done either on the greatest area of strain which is on the middle of the streamer and on the installation point of these things. Since the attachments take the brunt of the combined strain done on the material such as gravity and other forces acting on it, a bad installation would prove ineffective for transferring this pressure to the frame. In this case, the material might rip off.
