When you think of visiting a unique island in Asia, Maldives must be one of the top in the list. If you want to know the country more then there is the well preserved National Museum that displays variety of precious relics from the rich history of Maldives. These relics that are properties of important sultans and leaders as well as other historical remains are kept in this three-storey museum that is located near Sultan’s Park.
Another tourist spot that exudes richness in culture is the Jumhoorie Maidan. It has beautiful and well kept lawns with a breathtaking view of the ocean and the Islamic Center, not to mention its symbolic flag post. For art lovers, the Esjehi Art Gallery is a must-see place that is located in one of the old structures in Maldives. Here you can see the exhibits of famous artists. But this structure is opposite to the Male Fish Market because of how it looks. This marketplace is a very busy commercial spot all throughout the year. This is where you can see different kind of stalls that offer variety of food and items that can only be available in Maldives. This can be a one-stop place for tourist shoppers.
