People who are aiming to discover more about a person’s behavior or personality might like to try playing golf. There are so many things to discover about an individual when you play all 18 holes. Over time, you will find several traits and tendencies. Although the environment is generally calm, golf is actually a competitive sport, so you will soon find that the quiet person you initially played with might transform into a fierce one. Some might have start giving bad advice or have a booming voice by the time you reach the last three holes.
Playing under handicap might change things over time. Some golf partners will surrender if it seems like the game is already beyond winning. Others will keep their fighting spirit until the last hole.
You will encounter these individuals when playing golf.
1. The perfectionist. This golf buddy is described as someone who gets more tense as more mistakes are committed. They might even start screaming profanities or throw their clubs on the ground every time they hit a bad shot. A good golfer will be content with unavoidable circumstances, while a perfectionist will try to be excellent at everything. They will not be happy even with good shots sometimes. Even if they pitch straight onto the green from 150 yards away, they will show contempt at the golf flag.
2. The controller. This golf partner will come early during games. You will notice how they already prepared their kit in advance and look prim and proper on the golf course. They tend to take responsibility on everything and might even want to fix the format of the game. They usually know the details such as the current scores, handicap and total strokes.
3. The winger. These individuals have all the golf items necessary but may not be too keen on the game itself. They think that the game is all about speed and power. They do not practice often and at times, will hit strange shots or move the ball to very remote areas.
4. Competitors. These people are up for any type of challenge. They might even cheat or bend the rules to move the game to their advantage. Some will try to change their current scores if you do not observe closely. Make sure you have a rulebook when playing with competitors.
5. Talkers. These golfers like to tell stories and crack jokes throughout the game. These individuals are generally kind and friendly, but you might not improve in your game if you spend most of the time talking.
6. The stingy. This golf buddy will be the last to shell out cash for a round of golf. They will not offer help even if you are inches away from the golf flag. They also avoid bets as much as possible.
7. Oblivious golfers. They are more engrossed in the other features of golf, instead of the actual game itself. They may not know where their ball landed or have an idea about the current scores.
8. The distractor. This person likes to poke fun or have annoying habits that might take your mind off the game.

Know about these golfers when choosing the best golf buddy. Also know your golf flags when learning the game.
