Custom Flags - Custom Street Banners

Friday, December 23, 2011
A long time ago, the first flags seen were positioned at the peak of flag poles to be viewed by all. It was only in recent years that flags were given added flair. The new decorations were present in various fabrics.

Currently, flags are created from fabric and always have an attached meaning, such as representing a person, organization or nation. At present, flags are used to communicate or stand behind their place of origin. During the medieval period, knights brought their flags to different places, to represent their army or nation. Since the knights were fully covered in armor, only the flags can indicate if parties were friend or foe. These were very effective in identifying armies during battle.

Every nation in the world has a flag. The flags can sometimes change, depending on the government. Even groups have flags, such as the Olympics flag, which features the five circles of different colors over a white background. This flag has been used for decades, so people now are able to recognize it easily even with the words indicated.

Flags are also present in different events like ceremonial burials of important people, sporting events and war. Using a certain color will also present a certain meaning whenever flags are raised. White means surrender or peace. Black means grief and death. Red means power or danger. Yellow means stay prepared or careful. Using just the fabric without the formal flag will immediately symbolize these meanings.

Custom flags are used worldwide for different functions. The designs of these, as well as the numbers will change every few years. The world will feature a lot more in the years to come.

Eagles, balls, pole heads, these are the common objects that can be seen mounted on typical banner flag poles you see everyday. Seeing this objects nearly everyday of your life can turn these sturdy and significant poles into boring and dreary insignificant parts of an infrastructure. To break the monotony, there can be many ways to give these flag poles a make over and turn them into interesting and lively inanimate objects. Give these flag poles a face lift and the public will surely go gaga over them and enjoy walking down the street to see these renewed poles. This is definitely a good surprise for them.

Changing what is mounted on the flag pole automatically changes its whole appearance. Take note that this one simply change can definitely make a difference for this boring pole. So, instead of using the ordinary pole head or ball, why not use a customized shape or design in place of the regular pole head or ball? Come to think of it, if you are in the school or office, why not use your institution’s official emblem or official mascot in place of the pole head? Now that is a brilliant idea.  So mount a replica of the logo or mascot of your institution on the pole and change the poles overall appearance. People will surely stop and stare at the new and improved flag pole in your institution.

Another idea is to buy or make a small figurine made up of ceramic or gold to place on top of the pole. Make sure that it is big enough to be seen from viewers both far and near the pole.

Another brilliant but crazy idea that could totally change the look of the flag pole is by painting it entirely with colors to your liking. It does not have to be a spectacular hue, but one which is painted on uniquely starting from alternating strips of different colors or to paint it simply in one color only.

However, do not go overboard and exaggerate on the colors. People might become distracted and will no longer look at the main attraction – the flag. Add the appeal on the banner flag pole but make sure that the flag will still be in the center of the limelight.
