Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Friday, January 3, 2014
Custom flags are always utilized for different reasons. In our
civilized present state, the use for these pieces of fabric varies
among a wide range of options. May it be for personal or commercial
use, the flag making business is still thriving steadily along with
the changing times of human existence.

At the beginning of time when man started to emerge from the nomadic
practices and slowly embraced settled communities, the sense of
identity began to emerge. This identity meant acknowledgment of a
group which eventually became one of the factors of power. The clash
of powers, and therefore the introduction of sovereignty and territory
was one of the very foundations of the creation of flags.

As each of the groups needed a common identification which would
denote their seal-of-arms, the primitive practice of custom flag making
became a necessity for the thriving group. During the earlier times,
the general use for these flags was more militaristic than
socio-cultural in nature. Companies and battalions had to be
identified for their type, therefore the flags served well on and off
battle.

As the nations became more civil and peaceful, the flags used in the
military remained but for identification purposes. Custom flags found
a new niche in competition, but on a milder and more civilized manner
– through sports. Flags of all nations come together to participate in
friendly and honorable competition. Flags of different sporting events
fly throughout the host country’s venues. Those flags are not without
the commercial flags of sponsors and advertisers  cashing in on the
events.

Custom flags nowadays have evolved from military influence to a more
commercial and social characteristic, truly making these small pieces

of signs and colors truly flexible and versatile.
