The South African flag can be seen in many different areas around the country, particularly in Cape Town. The flag was used beginning the time when Nelson Mandela became President of the nation. The banner stands for independence, strength and unity as well as other significant features and the background of the country. Many of the colors you find on the flag actually have specific meanings. For example, the red stands for blood and suffering. Yellow stands for gold and other resources. Green stands for the land or natural resources. Blue represents the blue sky. Black and white stands for the people in Africa. There are several other colors that represent other features in Cape Town.
What Red Means
Red can represent the Red City tour in which visitors can go around Cape Town and experience life in the city. You can see the different landmarks and buildings around Cape Town by riding an open-top bus. You can also get off at certain points and walk to other places instead. Some of the places to visit include Camps Bay, Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront. You can choose to ride or walk to other establishments around the city for a more fulfilling experience.
What Blue Means

The blue color on the flag represents the waterfront. It is just beside Cape Town harbor and situated between Table Mountain and Robben Island. It is one of the must-visit places in South Africa. You will also enjoy the shopping sites, dining places and entertainment areas in the place. You can get breathtaking views of the ocean as well as sip cocktails or a cup of coffee while waiting for the sunset.
