Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Wednesday, June 11, 2014
When visiting South Africa, particularly Cape Town, you will notice the South African flag waving proudly in many places. The banner was adopted after Nelson Mandela took over as president of the country in 1994. The flag is very special because it connotes the struggles that South Africa went through to gain independence and stability. The colors on the flag represent things that come from both the past and what is to come. The red color stands for blood. The blue color stands for the sky. The yellow color stands for rich resources like gold. The green stands for the lands. The black and white stands for the ethnic races of the nation.
The Red City
The red color is also representative of the Red City or Cape Town. You can take a city tour to see the various sights and attractions around the place via a bus with an open top. The bus will take you to various places around Cape Town, and you can actually get off at any time to walk to local establishments and shops instead. Some of the must-visit places for tourists include Camps Bay, Table Mountain and V&A Waterfront. You can either go with a group during the tour or go on your own to explore the smaller roads.
The Blue Color
Blue stands for Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. You will find the waterfront just close to Cape Town between Robben Island and Table Mountain. It is one of the more popular places in the city. You can take a shopping trip and witness entertaining shows in the place. When visiting South Africa, do not miss the waterfront to complete your itinerary.
