The South African flag features a number of colors. Each of these has its own special meaning which represents the background and culture of the nation.
About the Color Green
Green stands for Table Mountain. It is one of the most attractive landmarks in the country, particularly because of its flat top. The mountain is actually contained in a national park where you can also witness other natural wonders and animals. Regardless of where you are in Cape Town, you will notice the mountain in the background. You can choose to climb the mountain by foot or take a cable car to save time and effort.
The Color Yellow
The yellow on the South African flag represents the rich resources and gold in the country. The Gold of Africa Museum is a great place for tourists to know more about the gold mining industry in the country. You will find several gold items and artifacts dating over a century. You will also find out more about how gold is extracted and made into various items.
The White Color
White represents the Witsand Nature Reserve. “Witsand” means white sands. The nature park measures about 2,500 hectares and is bounded by red Kalahari sand. Underneath the dunes, there may be a huge gathering of hillocks which causes the sand to turn white.
The Black Color
Black represents the Black Marlin Seafood Restaurant. It is located inside a structure in the city and used to be a whaling station. The restaurant is very close to the sea which is why you will find majestic views of the water and spectacular landscape.

Whenever you see a South African flag waving in the air, look at the colors then identify these with the unique places above.
