If you do not like to purchase cornhole bags and save more, you might consider making your own. First, take a duck cloth then make sure that these do not have any holes. Next, look for corn kernels then purchase in bulk. Start filling the bags with the corn. The game will require you to toss the bag against the cornhole board with a hole cut onto it. Make sure that the cornhole bags have the same weight, size and consistency for more accurate and reliable throws. Using corn will have a few drawbacks such as attracting rodents and insects and being dustier compared to their plastic bead counterparts.
Some people like the way corn-filled bags feel compared to pellet-filled versions. Although newer players will not be able to tell the difference, there are traditional gamers that will require you to use the corn content, even if it means frequent replacement. There are also various tossing styles depending on your technique. Be careful about very dusty bags since these may already need replacement.
The new types of cornhole bag which include plastic pellets inside are preferred by many because these are easier to keep and last longer even when played outdoors. You can expose the bag to moisture and heat without worrying about damaging the cloth and insides. Storing the bag will be easier because the plastic pellets do not draw small insects and animals.
Follow the rules of the game and focus on the standard measurements for everyone’s enjoyment.
