Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Friday, February 20, 2015
The very first flags of the world first surfaced thousands of years ago. The initial material used was silk because it looked good, was lightweight and highly durable. These are good for indoor and outdoor use and can be brought anywhere. Silk was the main material in making beautiful flags before.
After several years, custom flags also included other materials. These were equally durable and also looked good when put on top of poles. The three main materials that followed include cotton, nylon and polyester. These have their own pros and cons. Nylon is a favorite among companies and individuals because it is lightweight and durable like silk. This is also cheaper than silk. A flag made of nylon will look good when flying against the wind. Because of its lightweight characteristic, a little breeze will be enough to make the flag wave.
Next is polyester which has been used for many decades. It is highly durable and can withstand rain, sunlight and wind. It is thicker and tougher compared to silk and is ideal for outdoor use. It is specifically chosen by companies when they need to put out a custom flag for long periods of time. The material may be knitted or woven.
The last material, cotton, is also a good choice, although it is usually used by people for indoor setups. The image and colors on the flag tend to look good against cotton. There are still companies that use cotton for outdoor flagpoles. Regardless of the material you use, any of these will look great.
