When playing with cornhole bags, you will learn a variety of techniques that will accurately shoot the bags into the holes on the cornhole boards. There are different approaches to use such as the pancake, sling, basic fold and double fold. Regardless of the technique you use, all these will work so practice each technique to get better at the game.
To do the basic fold, fold the cornhole bag into half. Throw it to the cornhole board after. The bag must remain flat throughout the movement. This is done by evenly dividing the corn in the bag so that it folds into two. The bag will be easier to toss if this is done.
The double fold is done by holding one corner of the bag then leaving one side of the bag without corn. The filling will be located at one end of the bag so you can focus more on accuracy in the toss. The bag can be thrown easily from a distance using this technique.
The pancake toss is performed by keeping the bag fully flat as you throw. You may use an underhand style when throwing which is preferred by most. The pancake throw is also done in the same manner as if you are throwing a Frisbee. The cornhole bag must be flat throughout. Practice a variety of techniques or even invent your own.
