The highest area is Pico Real del Turquino which has a height of around 2005 meters. Cuba is visited by tourists each year because of its beautiful coasts, colonial-style buildings and rich culture. The tourism business continues to proliferate through the years.
The culture in Cuba is generally inspired by Latin and Spanish cultures. Spanish is the main language, because Cuba used to be under the Spanish Crown. It is also the reason why there are a lot of Spanish-style buildings in the nation. Cubans like to dance and sing Cancion, Bolero, Salsa, Son and Zapateo.
Cuba is also a melting pot of races. 37 percent is white, 51 percent is mulatto or a combination of black and white, 11 percent is black and 1 percent is Chinese. Different religions are also practiced in the country such as Jewish, Christianity, Bahai, Islam and Protestant. Santeria is another unique religion in Cuba, which combines Catholic and African beliefs. When you visit the country, you will witness some of these old practices. Even in remote regions, many old customs are still exercised by people.
