Several island tours available in Barbados will take you both to the sea and inland. There are some tours that will last only half a day while others will take several days. The sun will rise early and also go down early in Barbados. The locals, called Bajans, will start their work at around 8 a.m. and then they finish at sunset.
There are a couple of major attractions on the island of Barbados. These are the Island Safari and Adventurela. The tour guides will carry you on 4x4 vehicles so you can travel through various types of terrain on the island. You will move up the hills to see the majestic spots more. The cars also have padded roll-bars and an exposed top so you can see the surroundings better.
The tour cars also have seatbelts. The driver doubles as a knowledgeable tour guide who can give you thorough details about the island and its history. You can take different trips that will take you to the East and North regions of the island. You might also get to see The Lion at Gun Hill station, Bathsheba and Bath. Harry Smith Beach is a famous tourist spot as well. You should bring a camera with you because there are so many scenic backdrops at these places. You can try an authentic Bajan lunch and eat snacks as you experience the beautiful settings. You might also go on foot to a number of natural sites.
In 1818, Gun Hill Station was built. It is part of a station network that let you send messages via flags and lanterns. The stations are seen throughout Barbados.
