Globalization has made countries closer than ever before. World leaders can easily communicate and organizations around the globe can conveniently meet and plan for various events. Third world countries are also aiming to gain a larger foothold of the world industry by asking for the help and support of bigger nations. A national flag is one of the best ways to communicate even in the modern era. A world flag will immediately inform others about a nation’s history and goals. Some people will immediately recognize the background and objectives of a country just by looking at its national flag.
Every flag should be treated with respect, especially by its own citizens. The United Nations recognize various countries and treat every citizen with equal respect. The United Nations does not prefer any country in particular so they arranged all the national flags outside their headquarters in a circular manner to show equality among nations.

When waving or displaying a national flag, people should show respect to the banner regardless of the location. Many countries do not have rules or laws on how to properly display and show a national flag. However, they should adhere to international guidelines instead to avoid violating any global protocols. Military instructions are usually applied when using and preserving national flags.
A world flag such as the flag of Ireland will be treated in a special manner compared to basic or ordinary flags. When two or more flags are set up on a stage, the national flag will be placed at the right side of the speaker. It should also be higher than other flags when placed on the same pole.
