Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Tuesday, September 1, 2015
In the world of advertising and commerce, custom flags have become widely popular. The flags can always be seen during trade shows, fairs and exhibits. Originally, the flags were only used as national symbols, but recent times showed that there are plenty of other ways to benefit from these beautiful banners.
General Washington featured the first union flag to represent the United Colonies at Prospect Hill. The first flag was known as the Grand Union flag or the Cambridge flag. It had seven alternating red and white stripes. There was also rectangular portion, called a canton, blue in color and charged with the Red Cross with white outline.
A number of writers reported that Betsy Ross from Philadelphia was the original creator and designer of the first United States flag. Although official documents cannot verify the fact, many people regard her as the person who came up with the design and look for the United States flag.
In the journals of the Continental Congress, the first description of the flag of the United States can be seen, which hinted that there was a resolution passed on June 14, 1777. It stated that the flag of the United States had 13 alternating red and white stripes. The union used to have only 13 stars. These were white in color and laid against a blue field. The description was only shown in newspapers later in September 1777. During the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, there were ships and galleys that moved up the river to showcase the colors of America in grand fashion.
